New Destiny Community Church - Kampala, Uganda
God planted New Destiny Community Church in the capital of Uganda. Kampala is a city desperately needing the hope of Jesus Christ. The church is located in one of the largest slums in the city. Everything here is broken, people without hope, broken families, and broken dreams. What an opportunity for the gospel to make a difference in a community? New Destiny was started on 12th April 2009. The vision of the church is to help people discover their God given purpose in Christ Jesus. Their mission is "Loving God, Loving People, Changing our World." They believe that as a church they are the catalyst for community transformation.
How can people pray for New Destiny? Pray for their protection as they minister in the slums of Kampala Pray they find favor with the people as they preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, particularly among the Muslims. Pray for God to send them laborers into this great harvest field.

Mwakaje Church - Zanzibar Island (East Coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean)
About their work: Mwakaje Church was planted in 1996 in a difficult region that is very hostile to Christianity. The Islands of Zanzibar & Pemba is one of the world's hotspots for Isalmic persecution of Christians, who are the minority of the Islands.
What you can do: Through partnerships with Christians and Churches, we are able to build churches on these Islands for less than $4,000 USD. You can sponsor a church building project or help in sponsoring a project. Please pray that they obtain buildings wherever churches are planted in Zanzibar and Pemba. You can also help provide a projector for the church. Their children's ministry always needs juices, biscuits, toys and sports equipment for games and recreation.
How you can pray: Mwakaje Church asks the Friends of the Gospel Network to pray for them in the areas of strength, because they live in a Muslim-dominated region, they ask that you pray that people will receive Jesus more and that their hearts would not be as hardened to the Gospel. They also requests that you pray for unity in their vision, outreach and on-going financial needs.
On-going Needs: Transportation costs to the pastors who travel to the newly planted churches - approximate costs $120 / per month.
