We met Pastor Nathanael Kapela in 2009. We knew he was a man with a vision from the Lord. We listened as he shared his dream of seeing Morogoro, Tanzania flooded with the light of the Gospel. He told us how Morogoro was a bowl city of 300,000 people surrounded by mountains. Already the city had several Islamic radio stations and 2 large Islamic Universities. But there wasn't 1 single Gospel-spreading radio station. He told us of how he could place an antenna on a mountain and flood Morogoro with the Gospel!

Friends of the Gospel visited Tanzania to see the work for ourselves. We hosted a pastor's conference with 200 pastors attending. We saw the mountain for the antenna, the office space for the radio station...but more importantly, we saw the vision that Pastor Nathanael was sharing with us!

We brought Pastor Nathanael to the United States in November 2010. We hosted a conference highlighting Islam in Africa. There we raised the funds to purchase all the necessary equipment for a new radio station in Morogoro, Tanzania called Arise FM!
